Collaborating closely with the owner of a woodworking shop, I undertook the task of forging a distinctive logo that would encapsulate the essence of his brand and seamlessly integrate into all his wood designs. Understanding the importance of a logo that resonates with the brand’s identity and can be effectively marked onto wooden products, we opted for a circular design that exudes a playful yet earthy vibe. The logo features a wood log at its base, symbolizing the craftsmanship and natural materials used in the woodworking process. Atop the log, the iconic Sawtooth Mountains and trees evoke the scenic beauty of Idaho, where the shop is based. Completing the design, a saw positioned at the top of the circle represents both the woodworking tools employed and the rugged, outdoorsy spirit of the brand. To infuse a touch of whimsy, we incorporated a fun font for “handcrafted in” while maintaining the traditional typography for “Idaho,” ensuring the logo not only captures the essence of the woodworking shop but also aligns with regional identity cues.
